Agroils s.r.l. was formed in 2006 in Florence by a group of engineers as the first European consulting company with a specific focus on Jatropha curcas. Agroils has developed significant competences and expertise in the implementation and management of sustainable biofuel projects both in Europe and in Developing Countries. At the same time Agroils has build up a strong knowledge of the most important Biodiesel technologies available to the market as well as the technologies for energy production from biomass (i.e. cogeneration systems from vegetable oils, wasted oils and animal fats).

In short time, Agroils has become a meeting point for farmers, private and public companies, International organizations and Governments interested in the promotion and development of Bioenergy projects. Agroils is actively engaged in the international debates on biofairtrade certification and sustainability criteria.

Agroils has provided Jatropha seeds for the start up of Jatropha projects around the world. In the Agroils Jatropha seeds Bank there are seeds from all over the world, tested and selected by its agronomists to obtain best seeds and oil production. Even if the plant of Jatropha has a really good adaptability in equatorial and tropical areas, we have notice different performance depending of seeds planted in a chosen area. In some projects we focus on germplasm collection, seeds selection and adaptability of the plants.

Selected seeds from Agroils will be sold after be treated: coated, incrusted and pelletted increase conservation of seeds (up to three year), increase germination rate, water and nutrition absorbing in the first phase of growing.
